These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ALFATIH LLC (“ALFATIH”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of alfatih.online and the online Quran and Arabic tuition we provide. By booking a trial lesson, enrolling, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
Please read Section 14 carefully — it affects how disputes between us are resolved.
1. Who we are and what we provide
ALFATIH LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. We provide live, one-to-one online tuition in Quran recitation, Tajweed, Tarteel, memorisation (Hifz) and Arabic language, delivered by qualified teachers over video-conferencing platforms.
We are an independent private tuition provider. We are not a school, university, college or accredited academic institution, we are not accredited by any government education authority, and we do not award degrees or academic credit. Any certificate we issue is a certificate of course completion issued by ALFATIH LLC alone and carries no accreditation or academic standing.
2. Eligibility and student accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to enrol, make a payment or enter into these Terms.
- Students under 18 may study with us only where a parent or legal guardian enrols them, accepts these Terms on their behalf, and remains responsible for their account and for all fees.
- You agree to give accurate, current and complete information when enrolling and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping any account credentials and lesson links confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.
3. Trial lesson
We offer a free trial lesson so you can assess a teacher before committing. The trial is genuinely free: no payment card is required to book it, and it does not convert into a paid subscription automatically. You will only ever be charged after you have separately chosen a package and made a payment. The trial is normally limited to one per student.
4. Booking, scheduling and attendance
- Lessons are booked in advance for an agreed day and time in your local time zone, and are delivered by the teacher assigned to you.
- Rescheduling: you may reschedule a lesson at no cost by giving us at least 12 hours’ notice by email or WhatsApp.
- Late cancellation and no-shows: if you cancel with less than 12 hours’ notice, or do not attend within 15 minutes of the scheduled start, the lesson is treated as delivered and is deducted from your balance.
- If the teacher is unavailable: if a teacher misses a lesson, starts more than 15 minutes late, or a lesson is cut short by a fault on our side, we will reschedule the lesson in full at no charge or credit it back to your balance, at your choice.
- Technical problems: you are responsible for a working internet connection, device, and microphone. Interruptions caused by your own equipment or connection do not entitle you to a replacement lesson, although our teachers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate short disruptions.
- Extended absence: if you need to pause your studies, tell us in advance and we will hold your remaining lesson balance for up to 6 months.
5. Fees and payment
- Lessons are charged on a per-session basis. The current rate per lesson is shown on our Pricing page. All prices are quoted and charged in euros (EUR) or pounds sterling (GBP), depending on your region. We do not charge in US dollars.
- Lessons are paid for in advance. Tuition begins once payment has cleared.
- We accept payment by credit or debit card, PayPal, and bank transfer.
- You are responsible for any currency conversion charges, international transfer fees or charges applied by your own bank or payment provider. These are set by your provider, not by us.
- Prices quoted are exclusive of any local sales tax, VAT or withholding tax that may apply in your country. Where such a tax applies, you are responsible for it.
- We may change our rates from time to time. A price change never applies to lessons you have already paid for, and we will give enrolled students at least 30 days’ notice before a new rate applies to them.
- If a payment fails, is reversed or is charged back, we may suspend lessons until the balance is settled.
6. Refunds
Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: you may request a full refund of unused lessons within 7 days of payment. Please read the Refund Policy for the complete terms, exclusions and process.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us first at info@alfatih.online. We will investigate and, where we are at fault, refund you promptly. Raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us delays resolution for everyone; we reserve the right to suspend an account while a chargeback is being investigated and to provide our payment provider with lesson records, correspondence and attendance logs in response.
8. Your obligations
When using our services you agree to:
- Treat teachers and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Attend lessons in an appropriate, quiet environment suitable for study.
- Not record, photograph, stream or screenshot a lesson without the teacher’s prior consent.
- Not share, resell, broadcast or redistribute lesson links, recordings or study materials.
- Not use our services for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against any person.
- Not attempt to contact, recruit or engage a teacher privately outside ALFATIH for the duration of your enrolment and for 6 months afterwards.
We may suspend or terminate access, without refund of lessons already delivered, if these obligations are seriously or repeatedly breached. Where we terminate for a reason that is not your fault, we refund any unused lessons in full.
9. Our obligations
We undertake to assign a teacher competent in the subject you have enrolled for, deliver lessons at the agreed times, keep student information confidential in line with our Privacy Policy, and respond to support enquiries within 2 business days. If you are not satisfied with your assigned teacher, tell us and we will offer an alternative teacher at no additional cost.
10. Intellectual property
All content on alfatih.online and all study materials we produce — including text, lesson plans, worksheets, graphics, logos and the ALFATIH name and mark — are owned by ALFATIH LLC or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials we provide solely for your own study. You may not copy, publish, sell, distribute or create derivative works from them without our prior written permission.
The text of the Holy Quran itself is not claimed as our property. Our claim extends only to our own teaching materials, arrangement and presentation.
11. Disclaimers
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. However, learning outcomes depend heavily on the student’s own effort, attendance and practice, and we do not guarantee any particular result, level of fluency, rate of memorisation, or examination outcome.
Except as expressly stated in these Terms and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our services are provided “as is” and we disclaim all implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 6 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using our services at any time; your refund entitlement is governed by the Refund Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access where you breach these Terms, where payment is not made, or where continuing would expose us or our teachers to legal risk or abuse. Sections 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 survive termination.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Step 1 — talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at info@alfatih.online with details of the dispute. We commit to working with you in good faith for 30 days to resolve it.
Step 2 — formal proceedings. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Wyoming.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
15. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding our services.
- Changes: we may amend these Terms. The “last updated” date shows the current version, and we will notify enrolled students by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Changes never apply retroactively to lessons already paid for.
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Where such an event prevents lessons, we will reschedule them or credit them back.
